Her other areas of interest include animal behaviour, welfare and ethics and she strives to make the patients staying in hospital feel as comfortable and loved as humanly possible. She continues to be fascinated by Tasmania’s unique wildlife and natural heritage and loves discovering everything that makes living in Tassie special, like taking her kelpie cross Ziggy to the beach to play in the surf, or chasing the elusive Aurora lights at night.

I’ve always had a love for animals and they have always played a big part in my life. I was raised on a farm here in Tasmania and particularly enjoy lambing season. I previously spent over 10 years at Zoodoo, starting in the gift shop and admissions and worked my way up to General Manager. I was soon labelled the “queen of the macropods” as I have raised quite a few over the years. I came to AHVEC at the beginning of 2021 to combine my love for interacting with animals and people. In my spare time, you will either find me at a quiz night with friends, or on an adventure with my two best friends, Zoe and Polly - my dalmatians. (I am definitely a crazy dally lady). "
