Veterinarians

Introducing Dr. Rhianna, our experienced Hospital Manager and Senior Veterinarian. Rhianna has been with AHVEC since the early days in 2011, having been a Veterinarian in Hobart since 2007. She graduated with her degrees (Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery) from Murdoch University in Perth, WA. Rhianna has a passion for emergency medicine, particularly caring for critically ill patients that require intensive monitoring, and performing emergency surgeries.

She also loves training the AHVEC team in the newest techniques, and has recently extended that training to other members of the veterinary industry in Hobart. Outside of work, Rhianna loves to sing and is a member of a local choir. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and family, including the furry members, Ferret and Breeze the border collies and Horatio and Frank the cats.

Introducing Dr. Hannah, one of our wonderful Veterinarians. Hannah completed her degrees (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Biology) at Charles Stuart University in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Hannah joined the AHVEC team in late 2012 and has been an important team member ever since.

Hannah’s special interest area is surgery, particularly abdominal surgeries. Outside of work, Hannah has a passion for health and fitness, as well as spending time with her new husband and pets, Ella the Labrador and Edward the cockatiel.

Introducing Dr. Lee, one of our excellent Veterinarians. Lee moved to Tasmania from Canada after visiting for a holiday and falling in love with the state. He graduated from the University of Guelph in Ontario, earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Lee loves all aspects of his job at AHVEC, and always takes the time to make sure that clients understand what is happening with their pet.

Whilst Lee doesn’t have pets of his own, he enjoys meeting all the patients that come into AHVEC and helping treat the wildlife that we see. Outside of work, Lee enjoys spending his time exploring the amazing wilderness Tasmania has to offer.
